We received two submissions, both from my (Alyce de Carteret's) mother, Joanne. Who could have seen that one coming? Congrats, Mom!
As promised, here is her (very good) St. Patrick's Day limerick:
A leprechaun up in a tree
Decided to try to tease me.
He tempted with gold.
Of great riches he told.
Then, POOF, with his gold he did flee.
There once was a cat named O’Jerry,
Whose demeanor caused all to be wary.
He showed up one day
On the pretense of play,
Then remained to make all of us merry.
This one is about our cat, Jerry. He showed up on our doorstop one day and decided to make us his family. We love him, but he is a huge jerk.
Don't be fooled by the cuteness. He is evil!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this year's entries! Mom may be our default winner, but I think we can all agree she is truly deserving.Don't forget to tune in next week for more of our special Old Time Radio Showcase! FATY will return to our regular schedule on Sunday, April 6th.
