NEW: The Great American Talk Show

We're back! We hope you had a rejuvenating summer!

This year, WHRB News is proud to be adding a completely new show to our line-up. It's called The Great American Talk Show, hosted by Alexander Doubet with help from his cohorts Alasdair Wilkins and Kevin Burrows. The show will air bi-weekly on Sundays at 12:30pm. To accomodate our new schedule, our news magazine From Across the Yard (also airing on Sundays at 12:30pm) will be moving to a bi-weekly format, with TGATS airing in the off weeks.

So, what is the Great American Talk Show? It's Radio 3.0, it's an unexcelled look at the state of popular culture today. The Great American Talk Show will take you on a journey through the important, the enlightening, but mostly the entertaining. The Great American Talk Show is a humorous look at all things important through the lens of such segments as "News No One Cares About" and "Reviews of Movies We Haven't Seen," as well as games such as "Word" and "Guess the Actor."

TGATS debuted this past Sunday, September 21, but if you missed it you can check it out in its entirety here: TGATS 9.21.08.This week, the topics include robot bears, philters, and movies lacking in atoning (or toning, or both). Intrigued? Give it a listen!

We are eager to hear your thoughts on our new show! Please send any reactions, questions, and suggestions to news[at]whrb.org.

From Across the Yard will be back from its summer hiatus THIS SUNDAY, September 28, at 12:30pm. Be sure to tune in! For more of the Great American Talk Show, tune in two weeks from now on October 5, same time, same channel.
